Honorary Doctorate Recognition to the Founders of IEST Anáhuac

From the Anáhuac University Network, we are proud to share and celebrate a significant event in the history of the IEST Anáhuac, which, within the framework of its 50th anniversary, awarded the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa to four of its founders. This recognition represents the highest honor that a university can grant to people whose career has deeply impacted education and the community.

The Honorable University Council of IEST Anáhuac decided to grant this distinction to Mtro. David Efraín Gómez Fuentes, Mtro. José Manuel Haces Zorrilla, Mtro. Florentino Terán Álvarez and Mtro. Rodolfo Vega Gallegos, who founded this institution five decades ago with a vision of growth and educational excellence in the region of Tampico, Tamaulipas. Each of them has left an invaluable legacy, not only in the educational field, but also in the social and cultural development of the area.

A Solemn Act in Honor of the Founders

The ceremony took place on October 25 at the Dr. Burton E. Grossman Gymnasium, a space that was filled with family, friends and members of the university community, all gathered to pay tribute to those who gave life to this institution. The event was presided over by the Honorable University Senate of IEST Anáhuac and conducted by Mtro. Basilio Kot Ascorve, Academic Vice-Rector, who read the biographies of each of the honorees, highlighting their contributions and achievements.

This recognition is a testament to the mission of the Anáhuac University Network: to train leaders committed to the transformation of society, with a comprehensive education based on values that positively impact their environment. We celebrate, together with the community of IEST Anáhuac, the founders of this great institution for their tireless work and dedication to education and human development.
