At this event, Dr. Antonio Cabrera Cabrera, LC, and Dr. David Cerdio Domínguez presented Anáhuac University Mexico as the host of the upcoming international IAEE congress, which will take place from June 19 to 21, 2024.
From June 15 to 17, 2023, Dr. Antonio Cabrera Cabrera, L.C., director of the Anahuac Center for Strategic Development in Bioethics (CADEBI), and Dr. David Cerdio-Domínguez, coordinator of the same center, participated in the 11th International Congress of International Association for Ethics Education (IAEE) held at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, and gave a conference focused on ethics education, interdisciplinary and multiculturalism.
During this event, a space for dialogue and collaboration was generated in which various institutions reflected on ethics as a fundamental and priority issue for contemporary society. Various personalities participated, such as Henk ten Have, president-elect of the IAEE and associate professor-researcher at the Faculty of Bioethics, and Monsignor Renzo Pegoraro, chancellor of the Pontifical Academy for Life, who contributed with various approaches to ethics education from the Global Bioethics and the analysis of the challenges presented by Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Father Emmanuel Uchechukwugeme Ogbu, student of the Master in Global Bioethics, gave the presentation “Navigating the Ethical Web: Addressing Cultural Differences and the Problem of Cultural and Ethical Relativism in Ethics Education”.
It should be noted that doctors Cabrera Cabrera, L.C., and Cerdio-Domínguez presented the Universidad Anáhuac México as the venue for the 12th International Congress of the IAEE that will take place from June 19 to 21, 2024, within the framework of the celebration by the 60th anniversary of the foundation of our University, an event in which it is expected to have the participation of various institutions and international experts in ethics education.
