Students Andrea Castañeda Ruiz (now graduated class of 2024) and Antonio del Río del Toro have won the National Design Award: Diseña México 2024 for designing the graphic identity for the 60th anniversary of our university.
This award is considered to be one of the most important design awards in our country and aims to recognize good Mexican design and how design can improve the quality of life of the population and make companies and institutions more competitive.
On December 12th, the winners of the National Design Award: Diseña México 2024 were announced, and for the ninth time, our students made our Anáhuac University proud by demonstrating the talent and commitment that defines our community.
Andrea Castañeda Ruiz and Antonio del Río del Toro won the National Design Award: Diseña México 2024 for the design of the graphic identity of the 60th anniversary of our university in the Visual Communication Design: Students category.
The central concept of the commemorative graphic identity is evolution and movement, and it represents a novel change in which the community takes risks, embraces them and uses them as a constant impetus for the future because the world is rapidly changing and is full of opportunities, so we need to be ready.
This identity was chosen from among 40 proposals submitted by students from the Anahuac México University, who were advised in their development by Professors Rogelio Cuevas Olivares and María Fernanda Azuara Hernández, academics from the School of Design.
The Diseña México Award seeks to recognize companies, institutions and designers that have developed innovations through the strategic use of design, thereby improving the quality of life of the population and increasing the competitiveness of companies and institutions.

This competition, organized by Diseña México and the Certification Council for Innovation and Design, A.C., highlights the work of companies, institutions and designers who, through strategic design, have implemented innovations and contributed to improving the quality of life of the population and increasing the competitiveness of organizations.
The Award is endorsed by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the UNESCO Office in Mexico.
This award reaffirms the commitment of Anahuac University to academic excellence and the creativity of its students, who continue to position themselves as leaders in the field of design. The outstanding participation of Andrea and Antonio not only celebrates the talent of our community but also their ability to face the challenges of the present with innovation and vision for the future, upholding the spirit of the Anahuac and demonstrating that design can be an engine of social and professional transformation.
