With the participation of Dr. María Elizabeth de los Ríos Uriarte, the event promoted an integrative vision of the individual in society and highlighted the importance of respect, solidarity, and justice in building a more humane and sustainable environment.
On April 2 and 3, 2025, Anáhuac University Mexico commemorated Social Responsibility Day, an initiative jointly promoted by the Social Responsibility Committee and the Training and Culture of Peace Committee.
The activities, held on the North and South campuses, encouraged the university community to reflect on the role of each individual in building a more just, humane, and sustainable environment.
Both sessions featured the participation of Dr. María Elizabeth de los Ríos Uriarte, research coordinator at the School of Bioethics and member of the University Peace Committee, who gave a lecture entitled "From Social Responsibility to Peacebuilding: An Integrative Perspective of the Person in Society." She addressed the urgent need to "build bridges" for peace, based on the recognition of the ontological dignity of every person, as well as respect for and promotion of human rights as fundamental pillars of all social action.
The event's main purpose was to strengthen awareness of interpersonal, environmental, and social responsibility within the university community, promoting respect for individuals, society, and the natural environment. Through an open space for dialogue and the exchange of ideas, students, faculty, and staff were invited to reflect on the impact of their daily actions and reaffirm their commitment to solidarity, justice, and the common good.
These workshops reflect Anáhuac University Mexico's ongoing commitment to developing positive action leaders capable of transforming their communities through an ethic of responsibility and peace.
