During the event, held in Puebla and organized by RENASIM, the essential role of clinical bioethics in medical education through simulation was highlighted.
On March 27, 28, and 29, 2025, the Second National Simulation Congress was held in Puebla. This event was organized by the National Network of Simulation Educators (RENASIM), bringing together medical schools and faculties from across the country, as well as representatives of international associations.
The central objective of this event was to discuss the challenges, advances, and opportunities in simulation-based medical education, recognizing this resource as a key pedagogical tool for enriching learning, identifying ethical and clinical dilemmas, and promoting their responsible resolution in medical practice.
At this important meeting, Dr. María Elizabeth de los Ríos, Research Coordinator at the School of Bioethics at Anáhuac University Mexico, participated as a speaker with the lecture "Clinical Bioethics and Its Importance in Simulation," in which she highlighted the fundamental role of ethics in simulated environments for medical training. Her presentation was widely recognized for its comprehensive and humanistic approach, emphasizing the need to incorporate bioethical reflection into simulation-based teaching processes to develop more conscious and committed healthcare professionals.
As part of the conference activities, our institution's researcher was appointed coordinator of the RENASIM Bioethics Committee, joining the Board of Directors for the 2025–2027 period, chaired by Dr. Arianna Cerón, president of the network and coordinator of the Simulation Centers at Anáhuac University Mexico.
Dr. de los Ríos' participation not only represented a valuable academic contribution but also a significant step in the consolidation of clinical bioethics as an indispensable component of medical simulation, strengthening the link between technical knowledge and ethical reflection in the training of future healthcare professionals.
